What to expect in the 0.2.1 (and probably 0.3.0)


Hey everyone!

As this is the first post after the release of version 0.2.0, I decided to make this preview of the content of the next version public, so that I could share a short summary of what we learned from your feedback.

First of all, thank you for being with us! For every download, comment, message and rating. These are the things that make us want to continue working on "Komadori Inn", and after the release of version 0.2.0 we received a lot of warm words about the game. On Itch alone, the last version has been downloaded over 1,200 times so far. In addition, we know of at least a few other sites where someone has shared our demo for download (and even torrents), so the total number of players is probably a bit higher, and it's still growing.

As I mentioned, we've got a lot of messages from you (and read a lot of comments in different places). To a large extent, "Komadori Inn" was received very positively, and no bugs were reported (that we did not know about in advance), which we are very proud of. However, there was one negative thing that many of you repeated: currently, the "work shifts", especially the one at the bar, are too long and boring for you. So I assure you: they will be shortened and the customers will be accelerated. We have some ideas on how, what and how much to shorten and we will test them in the next versions. After all, that's why we release "Komadori Inn" so early in the Alpha and Beta versions, to get your feedback and make appropriate changes. So thank you for telling us what we can do better.

Ok, but what new things will we do?

Here is our list of tasks for version 0.2.1. As you can see, some of the elements are already done.


As always - the final content of the next version might be different.

Quests

From our point of view, the "real gameplay" of Komadori Inn begins on the third day. This is when you will receive three quests, almost one after another, and with them: complete freedom in when and what you do. These quests are also much longer and more complex than the first two - to the point that their continuation will only be made available in later versions (Yes, it's a bit weird, but they are necessary for the main plot and have to start on day three). Two of them will also have new illustrations woven into them (pantieshots, woohoo!).

Shop and Backpack.

On day three, you not only get freedom in the order of actions you take, but also freedom in moving around the world. One of the new places you couldn't visit until now will be the shop. There, you will meet the shopkeeper and buy items that will make the game easier - they will allow you to earn more money, get less tired, or gain more Intimacy Experience with the girls. After buying, the items will go to the backpack, which is located in our room. This is where you will be able to decide when to use them, e.g. before starting a shift.

Manual Save/Load

In our previous game, "Long and Hard... Summer!" we have received quite a few comments that in addition to autosave, you also like to have the option to save the game manually. You speak, we listen. Each game slot (which you select in the main menu) will have three separate, additional slots for manual saves.

Domain expansion

The world of "Komadori Inn" continues to grow. A new map will be made available in this version: the beach, which I have already presented on our Discord. In addition, since you will now be able to explore the surrounding forest, we are expanding the sound library with ambiences of the appropriate times of day and night

Additional tweaks and fixes

Additional changes in version 0.2.1, apart from the previously mentioned fixes in the work at the reception and bar, are:

  • Added a progress bar for experience for individual skills in the Player menu
  • Fixed the "quit to menu" button
  • Extended mouse operation in the menu

As you can see, version 0.2.1 is a solid package of content. That's why we suspect that after it we'll release another public version, 0.3.0. However, as is often the case in gamedev - we'll see how it goes.
